  1. How long do I have after all patterns in the quilt have been posted, to find ones I missed?

    1. Jane, the block posts won't be taken down, so there is no time limit on finding the ones you missed. They will all be listed here on the Block of the Week page, and you can just go through the list and click on the link for each block.

I just packed your order and it goes out today. Thanks for joining us!

  2. Are the special tools necessary for the blocks.... ???? I love the fabrics... so pretty... so tempting.

    1. The only thing necessary is the Block Tool, which is the pattern set for the blocks. It contains 102 traditional block patterns, from which we draw 31 for the quilt. Here is a review of it so you can see more in detail what it is. http://piecingthepastquilts.blogspot.com/2015/06/product-review-quick-and-easy-block-tool.html

  3. Hi! I've been following along, occasionally, and noticed today that on the blog post there are 18 weekly blocks, but in the gallery there are 19.... Have you started a second list that includes that 19th block, or is it just in a different place? Your quilts are beautiful, and I'd love to finish up all these patterns so when I have time (after baby quilts & wedding quilts!!) I could make it. Thank you so much!!!

    1. Hi Themis,
Not all the blocks are up yet because we haven't gotten to them yet. :-) Weeks 1-27 are on the blog, week 28 comes out this Wednesday, and 29-31 on the following 3 Wednesdays. Finishing instructions will come after that.
Thanks for asking and for following along on the project! Happy New Year to you, too!

    1. Jane, I'm sorry to take so long in getting back to you.

The finishing instructions will be posted week by week until we get through them all. This week will be the block borders, next week the four-patches, and so on.

  7. Did you say that the four patches in the borders are made from fabrics that were in the blocks? Is the white star fabric a white-white, or is it like off white shirting fabrics? Do you have the star fabric in stock?

  8. Jane, yes, the four-patches use some of the reds and neutrals that are used in the blocks. The white star fabric is out of stock, but I have something similar that can also be used. It is not a stark white, and has "aging" added. You can see it here: http://www.piecingthepastquilts.com/shop/product/snowman-gatherings-1082-20/
